Repeal Chronic Diseases by Defying The Sugar Emperor – Part 1

The Dictionary.com definition of the word, emperor is, “a sovereign ruler of great power and rank, especially one ruling an empire”.  In the American food industry, sugar rules and can loosely be described as an emperor in how it is an added ingredient in large quantities to a horrendously large amount of food that we consume every day.

Not only is it an ever-present food product in the American diet, its tentacles have infiltrated other countries food systems like a foreign invader, setting up new territories to infest the meal times of denizens of people worldwide.  Just like the past colonial empires took the resources of the lands and people they conquered and left them defeated, ill and many were murdered and died, in a like manner, The Sugar Emperor has left and is leaving chronic illnesses, injuries, deaths and destructions in its wake  Heart failure, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, strokes, vascular disease, kidney failure, diabetes along with amputations are the destructive effects of over consuming sugar.

Added sugar is heavily saturated in breakfast cereals, syrups, jellies and jams, barbecue sauces, spaghetti sauces salad dressings, fast food restaurant meals, sodas, energy drinks, desserts, candies and fruit juices.  This infiltration of sugar sources like processed cane sugar, high fructose corn syrup and others over the last several decades has created a pandemic of excessive proportions of chronic diseases in Americans which resulted in the disability, illnesses and deaths, the majority which may have been preventable if not due to the growing additions to sugar, the over-consuming of sugar by many people who were not aware of health recommendations of the maximums of daily in gestation of foods that included added sugar.

Our deliverance and the potentiality that we could recover our health was hidden in  plain sight on the food labels that are required by the FDA to the food industry.  However, without the knowledge of how much daily added sugar was too much sugar reading the food labels was pointless.  The American Heart Association recommends that men have no more than 36 grams of sugar per day in their meals and that women and adolescents have no more 25 grams of added sugar per day.

This is liberating information because a person can now knowingly manage their added sugar intake and become more liable for eating more fruits, nuts, vegetables and fish for the betterment of their health and the longevity of their lives.

This blog entry is to aid us to stop self-defeating eating habits which promotes our early demise. I hope this information is contributing to your health and securing your destiny. The Sugar Emperor part 2 will follow this entry. – Terry Yahweh
